Business Bank of Nevada Kicks Off its Annual Statewide Holiday Outreach Programs for Homeless and Needy Families

Release Date: November 30, 2006

Bank's Philanthropic Outreach Reaches Record Levels During 2006

(LAS VEGAS, NV) - Business Bank of Nevada (OTCBB: BBNV) today announced that it has kicked of its 7th Annual Holiday Food Drive and Adopt-A-Family programs benefiting at-risk children and families throughout Nevada. The Bank also announced today that its employees in southern Nevada would once again be staffing the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village in Las Vegas for the 7th consecutive year.

The Bank's food drive runs through Friday, December 15, and includes all of its branch locations throughout Nevada. Bank customers and Nevada residents can drop off non-perishable items at any of these locations, which will then be donated to various nonprofit agencies throughout the state to help feed a growing population of low-income families and individuals. Those nonprofit groups include the Las Vegas Rescue Mission in southern Nevada, St. Albert's Church in Reno, Friends In Service Helping (F.I.S.H.) in Carson City, and the Food Closet in the Minden/Gardnerville area.

The Bank is also teaming up with many of these qualified nonprofit organizations as well as several the at-risk schools it has adopted over the past three years for its Annual Holiday Adopt-A-Family program. The Bank is adopting several needy families throughout its market areas and providing them with a number of gift and food items donated by the Bank and its employees. This is also the 7th straight year that the Bank has been adopting low-income families and providing them with a little extra help during the holidays.

"Every year our employees and customers look forward to this special time of year and the opportunity it affords us to help those in need," said John Guedry, president and CEO of Business Bank. "We enjoy partnering with our friends at the various nonprofit agencies and at-risk schools, which helps us reach out to a growing segment of the state’s population that needs a helping hand, especially during this time of year."

Guedry added that while the holidays tend to attract more attention for community giving programs, philanthropic outreach should be a part of every company’s corporate culture throughout the year. The Bank and its employees were able to purchase every item on the wish lists for its adopted families in Nevada, which included lots of toys for the kids such as bikes, CD players and dolls, as well as plenty of clothes, food and gift cards for all of the adopted families.

Business Bank's philanthropic outreach for the year has reached record levels in monetary donations, in-kind giving and volunteer support. The Bank has donated over $75,000 to qualified nonprofit organizations throughout Nevada, provided in-kind support of more than $7,500 to various community groups, and over 1,500 hours of volunteer support to numerous worthy causes.

The Bank contributes financial, in-kind and volunteer assistance to nonprofit institutions and organizations that enhance the quality of life and promote public interest where the company conducts its business. The four main areas of the Bank’s philanthropic outreach include education, health and human services, community development, and arts and culture. Business Bank is a member of the Business Community Investment Council in Las Vegas.
