December 2006 Pan Western Corp. completes 2.5 miles of rail track which can accomodate unit trains of 60 cars or more. Our multiple circular lines create "a new model for freight logistics services in Las Vegas."
The multi-modal facility is designed to integrate direct rail, truck, intermodal, and transload with distribution and warehousing in one location.
Located adjacent to Interstate 15 and within minutes of downtown Las Vegas and the strip providing efficient and economical rail solutions.
In its current configuration, the intermodal facility includes 50 acres, four tracks comprising 13,200 feet of loading tracks, two straddle cranes, gantry cranes capable of lifting 700 tons with the expectation of transloading 200 cars per month and with capacity to go to 500 cars per month; one rail car is the equivalent of 4 truckloads.
